Washington, Tyne & Wear, U.K. (10th December 2018) The Lithuanian Air Force has invested in a Snorkel A38E electric articulated boom lift for use at their base in Siauliai, Lithuania.
UAB Nirlita, the Snorkel distributor in Lithuania, worked closely with the Lithuanian Air Force through a long negotiation process for the procurement of the lift. UAB Nirlita Commercial Director, Marius Mazeika led the negotiations and assisted with supplying all technical information required by the Air Force.
The Snorkel A38E was handed over in early October at their base in Siauliai, by Marius Mazeika of UAB Nirlita and Henrik Skibsted, Territory Manager – Scandinavia and the Baltics at Snorkel. The handover was followed by detailed technical training delivered by the UAB Nirlita team.
With a maximum working height of 13.5m, and weighing just 3,795kg, the Snorkel A38E delivers a class-leading height-to-weight ratio, while lifting a maximum platform capacity of 215kg. Featuring electric DC drive, the Snorkel A38E is electrically powered for zero emissions and delivers long duty cycles.
A maximum outreach of 6.1m makes it ideal for all types of applications, and proportional controls and a hydraulic platform rotation make it easy to precisely position the lift when working at height. The Snorkel A38E is equipped with non-marking tyres and Snorkel Guard™ secondary guarding as standard.
Henrik Skibsted said, “We are very pleased to deliver the Snorkel A38E to the Lithuanian Air Force, and are grateful for their trust in both Snorkel and our local distributor, UAB Nirlita. I would also like to thank Marius and team for their efforts to secure this order and handover the lift.”
The Snorkel A38E will be used by the Lithuanian Air Force for maintenance activities.
