Weyerbusch, Germany (10th June 2017) Ahern Deutschland, the sales and service provider for Snorkel lift in Germany and Austria, has delivered thirty Snorkel A38E electric boom lifts to German rental company, Gerken.
The thirty Snorkel A38E electric booms lifts were manufactured and custom-painted in Snorkel’s Vigo Centre facility in the U.K. They were delivered by Ahern Deutschland in Gerken’s distinctive red paint, in a ‘ready to rent’ condition with all decals and livery applied. From Ahern Deutschland’s facility, the lifts were shipped directly to Gerken branches and immediately deployed into the rental fleet.
Gerken is one of the leading aerial work platform rental companies in Europe, with locations across Germany and Spain. There are over 4,200 aerial work platforms in the Gerken rental fleet, consisting of over 400 different models, including a selection of lifts with working heights over 60 meters (196 ft.).
Originally established in 1963 as a painting business, Gerken Arbeitsbuehnenvermietung, was set up in 1989 focused on the rental of high quality aerial work platforms. The family-owned business celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2013.
The Snorkel A38E is a direct electric drive articulating boom lift that can lift up to 215kg (475 lbs.) to a working height of 13.5m (44 ft.). It has an outreach of 5.9m (19 ft.), yet weighs just 3,795kg (8,366 lbs.).
