Washington, Tyne & Wear, UK (25th August 2017) BSS Industrial, a division of Travis Perkins plc, has invested in thirty Snorkel S3010P push-around scissor lifts.
The order for thirty units was placed with Linda Betts, Sales Director for Snorkel UK. The Snorkel S3010P scissor lift is a push-around ‘mini’ scissor lift, that delivers a working height of up to 5.0m, can lift up to 240kg, yet weighs just 370kg.
The lifts have been purchased by BSS Industrial, who are the UK’s market-leading distributor of pipeline and heating solutions. Established over 110 years ago, BSS Industrial became part of the Contract Merchanting division of Travis Perkins plc in 2010. BSS Industrial has a multi-million pound turnover, and operates a network of more than 60 branches nationwide, all of which include ‘Hire-IT’ counters designed around the needs of trade customers.
Of the recent order, Steve Day, Divisional Hire Director in the Contracting Merchanting Division covering BSS Industrial, said, “Low level access is a new product line for BSS. The compact size and low weight of the Snorkel S3010P suits our customer base extremely well, and is very easy to operate and maintain. We were very impressed with the demonstration of the lift and it performed well during our trial.”
