Leading aerial work platform manufacturer, Snorkel, will launch the enhanced and renamed TM12 vertical mast lift to the Asian market at Bauma China 2014.
The ‘TM12’ name replaces the former ‘M1230E’ nomenclature, which was used on its 3.6m (12ft) self-propelled telescopic mast lift, until earlier this year. The TM12 name appears on the latest enhanced version of the popular lift which now includes a 0.5m roll-out extension deck as standard, as well as hydraulically powered descent.
The new roll-out deck, which has previously been available as an option, provides extra reach, which is ideal when working in retail and warehousing environments, allowing the operator to safely access areas above low level obstacles, such as shelving. The addition of hydraulically powered descent gives the operator full proportional control when lowering the machine, helping to improve platform positioning.
The Snorkel TM12 is an all-electric self-propelled mast lift which can be driven through standard interior doorways and carried in passenger elevators – yet will still lift two people with tools. The robust reverse concentric mast design gives the TM12 its excellent lift capacity of 227kg and an extremely stable work platform, even when fully elevated. Powered by dual front-mounted hydraulic motors, it also has a high amp hour rating, ensuring a long operating life between battery charges.
The machine has twin “saloon door-style” entry gates, smooth proportional controls and easy-to-use diagnostics for troubleshooting. It also has a flat steel deck floor with high grip tape, which prevents any misplaced screws or other small items falling into the machine’s works.
Safety features include emergency lower on the chassis controls, descent and tilt alarms, a warning horn and selectable motion alarm. Integral forklift pockets ensure it is easy to load and transport.
The Snorkel TM12 is now in production and is available to order.
