Las Vegas, Nevada (March 7, 2017) Following the official launch at The Rental Show last week, Snorkel will showcase their new line of six material lifts at ConExpo 2017, with best-in-class load capacities.
Split into two product families, the Snorkel material lifts range includes three ‘MLC’ models designed for heavy-duty, construction applications. The Snorkel ML12C offers 11 ft. 6 in. (3.5m) of lift height with up to 750 lbs. (340kg) of load capacity at a 14 in. (0.36m) load center, with the larger Snorkel ML18C offering up to 16 ft. 10 in. (5.1m) lift height with up to 700 lbs. (318kg) load capacity at a 14 in. (0.36m) load center. The largest model in the family is the Snorkel ML24C that can lift up to 650 lbs. (295kg) at a 14 in. (0.36m) load center to a lift height of up to 22 ft. 7 in. (6.9m).
The remaining three material lifts are ‘MLM’ models that feature a shorter mast height to easily pass through a standard doorway without requiring a tilt-back system. This makes them ideal for industrial and warehouse applications where loads need to be moved throughout a facility. The Snorkel ML12M can lift up to 700 lbs. (318kg) at a 14 in. (0.36m) load center to a lift height of 10 ft. 10 in. (3.8m). At the same load center, the Snorkel ML16M and Snorkel ML20M can lift loads of 650 lbs. (295kg) and 600 lbs. (272kg) to lift heights of 14 ft. 5 in. (4.4m) and 17 ft. 11 in. (5.5m) respectively.
Designed to Boost Productivity
Snorkel material lifts feature a dual-handle, shift-on-the-fly, two-speed winch for increased productivity when lifting loads, up to twice as fast as other material lifts on the market. A cable guard, and heavy-duty non-marking casters are fitted as standard, and the lifts utilize heavy-gauge aluminum extrusions and construction-grade cast metal cable pulleys for a long-working life. Adjustable loading wheels make light work of transporting the lifts, they can even be transported in some vans and SUVs. Quick-fold stabilizer legs do not require tools, making set up easy, and non-marking wheels allow the lifts to be easily maneuvered, even in the stowed position.
A Complementary Addition
Snorkel CEO, Matthew Elvin, said, “Material lifts are a natural addition to the Snorkel product portfolio. They are commonly purchased by rental companies as well as by contractors, which aligns with the efforts of our existing Snorkel sales and distribution channels. We see them as a complementary product, that ultimately reinforces our focus on and commitment to safe working at height, whether we are lifting people or materials.”
