Shanghai, China (31st October 2017) Snorkel, a leading global manufacturer of aerial work platforms, is showcasing six machines at the first-ever APEX Asia 2017. Set within the CeMat Asia show, APEX Asia is a dedicated showcase of aerial work platforms for the Asian market.
The 120sqm Snorkel stand includes the A38E and A46JE electric boom lifts, the TM12 and UL40 mast lifts, and the S3219E and S4732E electric slab scissor lifts. The Snorkel S3219E and S4732E on display are the first electric scissor lifts assembled at Snorkel’s 3,000sqm facility in Jintan, Jiangsu Province, China.
The facility, which was opened in 2016 for warehousing and consolidation, now includes assembly lines for the production of Snorkel lifts for the China market. Initially, Snorkel will produce its current line of electric slab scissor lifts, starting with the S4732E and S3219E models. Depending on demand, Snorkel will introduce additional product lines in future as required to support domestic customers in China.

Designed to deliver low total ownership costs, Snorkel electric slab scissor lifts are packed with features that benefit both the owner and operator. At APEX Asia, Snorkel is displaying the compact S3219E which has a working height of 7.79m and a lift capacity of 250kg. Measuring just 1.78m x 0.81m, this lift can be driven through a standard doorway, and can be used outdoors by one person.
The Snorkel S4732E is the largest lift in its family of electric slab scissor lifts. Weighing in at 2,740kg, the Snorkel S4732E can lift 318kg to a working height of 11.8m and features a 1.21m roll-out extension deck for additional reach.
Alongside the electric slab scissor lifts, Snorkel also displayed its industry-leading A-series electric articulating boom lifts, which combine superb manoeuvrability with clean and quiet battery operation. The lightweight Snorkel A38E offers class-leading performance, with a working height up to 13.5m and up to 5.9m of outreach. The versatile Snorkel A46JE is a self-propelled boom lift capable of working to heights of up to 16.1m. The spacious 1.83m x 1m platform can lift two people with tools and offers 160° powered platform rotation. Both models are fitted with Snorkel Guard™ secondary guarding as standard.
Designed for contractors and facilities maintenance professionals, Snorkel mast lifts are lightweight, portable work platforms that can easily pass through standard doorways. Where the convenience of a self-propelled unit is preferred, the hydraulic-drive Snorkel TM12 provides the ideal telescopic mast lift solution for most applications. Known worldwide for its versatility and durability, the TM12 offers a maximum working height of 5.6m and has a platform capacity of 227kg which can easily hold two people with tools.
The robust and compact Snorkel UL40 is a push-around mast lift capable of providing superb stability and reach coupled with excellent lift capacity. Delivering safe and stable working heights of up to 14.1m, the Snorkel UL40 mast lift is built standard with a Girder Lock mast design, non-marking casters, and an easy-loader system for transport.
